About the Role

The Chief Engineer - Unlimited will hold a prestigious role within our Turkish Fleet operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective management of all engineering operations on board. You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems, providing leadership and technical expertise to the engineering team while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical and electrical systems on board.

• Ensure optimal performance and safety of all engineering operations.

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and conduct regular inspections.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and crew members.

• Manage engineering budgets and resources effectively.

• Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and safety.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess significant maritime engineering experience and hold a chief Engineer license, unlimited, recognised by the company’s flag state. Strong leadership skills, technical acumen, and a commitment to safety and excellence are crucial for this role.

Requirements and Skills

• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (Unlimited) and the relevant STCW Certificates issued by Turkish Flag Authority or have a valid Turkish Flag Endorsement.

• Extensive experience in marine engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering role.

• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of complex engineering systems.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
