Operations Manager

DFDS is looking for an Operation Manager to strengthen our logistics operations and ensure excellent customer experience.

In This Role, You Will:
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee and optimize sea and road transportation operations in line with vehicle routing plans, managing tow truck assignments and partial shipments to ensure efficiency and timely delivery. You will proactively identify and resolve operational issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while leading the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the strategic planning and execution of vessel and road operations in line with vehicle shipment routes; oversee and optimize tow truck allocation and partial load planning processes,
Proactively identify potential risks and disruptions that may impact transportation operations; lead mitigation actions and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure continuity,
Oversee vessel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; supervise the proper entry and management of operational data and documentation in relevant systems,
Analyze lane and route density to develop and implement efficient intermodal transportation strategies, focusing on cost optimization and operational efficiency,
Lead coordination across operations teams, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall logistics performance.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree
Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
Team management
Analytical, strategic, and solution-oriented mindset
Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet,logistics operation
Knowledge of contracts with logistics service providers, pricing and cost analysis
Competent in negotiation, contract management and supplier relations
Has a proactive approach
