Working Monday to Friday, you will become part of the Core Transformation and Integration Tribe in the Technology & Innovation Division. You will work in an agile team and in close collaboration with other teams and our colleagues across the tribe. You will use your extensive social and technical expertise to support and monitor EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems, ensuring smooth and efficient integration with client systems running.
Job Responsibilities and Challenges
This position inherently comes with a high level of responsibility and urgency, as you will be the frontline support for both internal and external customers when minor or major issues arise daily. There will be times when multiple issues occur simultaneously, requiring quick prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Given the nature of EDI/Integration, you will handle a wide range of support tickets, which could involve:
- Network issues, such as firewall configurations, endpoint access, and permission management.
- Middleware challenges related to message flow (sent or received).
- Simple inquiries from internal teams or external partners.
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
- Continuously learn and enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Analyze data and patterns to diagnose and identify the root causes of issues.
- Proactively alert, inform, and follow up with relevant IT and business colleagues and customers.
Additionally, you will play a key role in improving existing processes and flows by identifying bottlenecks and weaknesses. You will work closely with developers to suggest enhancements and drive continuous improvement in our integration systems.
About you
Our reference architecture includes a diverse range of EDI protocols and systems designed to ensure seamless data interchange across various platforms. We expect you to hold a relevant educational background in Computer Science or a similar field, along with several years of experience.
Being a familiar to multitasking, agile environment and switching from task to task frequently is in the nature of this position.
- Collaboration and Communication skill is a must and pre-requisite for the job,
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills,
- Excellent communication skills in English,
- Experience 5+ years on relavant support role,
- Experience with SOAP/XML & API/JSON is a plus,
- Experience working with support management products such as Topdesk, Service now or similar,
- Knowledge of EDIFACT is a big plus,
- Experience with traditional technologies and patterns such as AS2, oFTP, FTPs, sFTP, and file-based integration of a csv,text, xml and more,
- Experience with middleware product of;
- SoftwareAG webMethods
- IBM IIB
- Mulesoft
- Dell Boomi etc.
