About the role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be a part of Fleet Technical Support Team and working closely with technical teams within all DFDS locations includes project managers, superintendents, and operational teams, etc.
You will be responsible for;
- Updating the technical manuals and drawings of ships when necessary, and ensuring coordination with design firms and technical superintendents during this process,
- Monitoring the survey periods of vessels and coordinating annual drydock plans with relevant departments,
- Communicating with shipyards domestic and international to negotiate planned or unplanned drydock processes, participating in shipyard tenders, and collaborating with the procurement department to prepare shipyard contracts,
- Work closely with project teams and superintendents for retrofit projects on ships,
- Monitoring and analyzing the CAPEX budgets of vessels,
- Be a part of developing our systems & processes (Dynamics implementation, Power BI and reporting tools etc).
About you
- University degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering,
- Minimum 5 years experience of shipyard, or familiar shipyard period if marine engineer,
- Experienced in or familiar with 3D modelling,
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing techniques, sector-specific materials, and general shipbuilding/classification rules,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English,
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications,
- Strong analytical approach and team player,
- Strong communication skills,
- No military obligation for male candidates,
- Able to travel.
