As a Chapter Lead in the Integration Team of the Core Transformation & Integrations (CT&I) Tribe, you will play a crucial role in nurturing both the Tribe and Chapter dynamics, facilitating a culture of continuous learning, growth, and collaboration to drive the success of our Technology and Innovation Division (T&I). Your primary responsibilities encompass capability building, providing coaching, line management, and guiding strategic direction within your domain.
It is expected that your time will be divided on approx. 30% on leadership and 70% on development of integration solutions, but that can vary at times.
Your focus will span across three key areas:
- Craft Development and Leadership - Shape and advance integration development practices. Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals
- Line Management - Lead a chapter of 5-8 skilled Integration developers, overseeing recruitment efforts, and supporting a high-performing, diverse team. Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and professional development. Conduct performance evaluations, setting clear goals and expectations
- Agile Team Member - Leverage your expertise as an experienced software specialist to enhance the multiplayer aspect of your Chapter Lead role. Actively contribute to and develop the capabilities within your team, keeping you closely connected to software development and technology trends
About you

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- A mix of high-quality analytical and problem-solving skills together with the ability to effectively drive progress in a complex environment
- Strong knowledge and experience regarding agile ways of working, and the ability to help your team structure their work in alignment with our agile principles
- Proven experience as an Integration Developer with a deep understanding of Integration and API technologies
- We have stakeholders all over Europe so proficient oral and written communication skills in English are an absolute must
The current integration tool is webMethods from Software AG and the tech stack amongst others encompasses EDIFACT, XML, JSON and secure communication protocols like SFTP and AS2. Monitoring is key in our setup and here we primarily use Grafana and OpenSearch. Needless to say, experience with these technologies is considered a strong advantage.
In DFDS we work hard on digitalisation and standardisation and as a natural consequence the Integration team have developed standard interfaces for both our Ferry and Logistics customers and is continuing the journey for our Warehouse and Terminal segments as well, so knowledge about industry standards will be a plus.
